Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.

Make True Friends
“True friends are hard to find, hard to lose, and impossible to forget.”
1. Be sincere to others.
If we merely want to impress others and make them interested in us, we will never have any sincere friends.
2. Contribute to other people and compliment them
Be selfless and thoughtful in the actions which you contribute to others.People enjoy the feeling of receiving praise. If you compliment someone appropriately (not flattering), they would certainly like you and remember you.
3. Greet people with enthusiasm and animation
No one would want to befriend an individual who continually frowns. Greeting people with eagerness would inform them that you are genuine and caring. Both of which are qualities of a good friend.
4. Smile
Actions speaks louder than words. Smiling is an act that costs nothing, but creates much.
A smile is a universal language which communicates: “I like you. You make me happy. I am glad to see you.”
5. Be a good listener
Respect the art of listening. Jack Woodford, an American novelist, once wrote that few human beings are proof against the implied flattery of rapt attention. A few years ago, the New York Telephone Company confronted one of the most vicious customers it has ever served. He raved to a customer service representative. He wrote letters of complaint to the newspapers. He even started several suits against the telephone company.
How did the telephone company tackle this problem? It sent one of its most skillful troubleshooters to interview this customer. All it took was someone who listened to the customer’s complaints with sincerity. A few days later, the customer withdrew all his negative remarks about the telephone company. This example demonstrates how a great listener can gain the admiration of others effortlessly.
